16 Years of Vichitphongphan Scholarship: Over 533 Million Baht Donated to Build a Better Society Through Employee Volunteerism, Reflecting the Concept of WORK LIFE WELL-LIVED
A life of value is not just about achieving success in one’s career, but also about being part of giving back to society. This is the philosophy that Thongma Vichitphongphan expresses through the “Vichitphongphan Scholarship” program, which today provides opportunities for employees within the organization to participate as givers, creating emotional value for themselves and others.
The Vichitphongphan Scholarship was established with the intention of Thongma Vichitphongphan to donate personal funds to promote education, support religion, and develop society. Since its inception in 2010, it has donated over 533 million baht to 112 organizations. In 2025, it allocated over 21 million baht to 30 agencies, divided into 16 for education, 1 for religion, and 13 for social causes, reflecting a steadfast commitment to creating a positive impact on society.

The beauty of this project lies not in the amount of money donated, but in the operational method that allows every employee to participate as a “bridge of merit” through volunteering to assess the needs of each community, closely monitoring results, and proposing suitable agencies to receive funding. This approach aligns with the brand DNA of Pruksa under the concept of “WORK LIFE WELL-LIVED”, which aims to create a work environment conducive to sustainable growth in both professional and personal aspects, allowing everyone to “live well and happily” at Pruksa.
Mr. Thongma Vichitphongphan, Acting CEO of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, stated, “I believe that a good life is not just about achieving success in one’s career or personal life, but also about passing on good and valuable things to others. The Vichitphongphan Scholarship started from my intention to provide a good quality of life for people in terms of education, religion, and society. Today, the project reflects the intentions of the employees as well. I am delighted that Pruksa employees have come together to be givers, and I believe that when the people in the organization are good, the organization will grow well too. Pruksa is therefore a workplace that is not just about goals, but about the meaning we create together.”

One of the volunteer employees in the Vichitphongphan Scholarship program, Mr. Narongrit Pimma, Assistant Director of Product Development at Pruksa Real Estate Public Company Limited, shared his feelings about participating in the project: “Volunteering is not just about helping others; it is also about developing our minds, creating discipline, and refining our humanity. In a world full of competition, volunteer work allows us to see another side of society, reminding us to slow down and recharge by being part of driving society forward together, making it a better place.”
Narongrit’s experience in the field, particularly with the mobile construction school project and the street teachers from the Creative Child Foundation, helped him understand the definition of “home” through the eyes of children whose lives are not as stable as we think. “I feel proud to be a small part of helping to create opportunities in life for these children,” Narongrit continued, “In the past, I viewed life as a competition, but today I believe that a meaningful life is about guiding someone to a place they never thought they could reach. That is the true success of life.”
On another note, Ms. Pawinee Aemsilpi, CSR Specialist at Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, shared her experience as a volunteer: “We are just ordinary people, but what we have is a heart that wants to help. Volunteering for the Vichitphongphan Scholarship allows us to be both givers as a bridge of merit and receivers of happiness from the smiles of people whose quality of life has improved.”
Her field experience made Pawinee realize that she received more positive energy than she gave and had the opportunity to encounter new experiences that cannot be found in an office setting, such as meeting students from Satun province who are determined to return to develop their hometown community or the sustainability ideas from Rajabhat University Muang Chom Bueng that use funding to create job opportunities for students.
This activity has changed her perspective on life, particularly regarding changing attitudes towards judging others, as she learned and saw the viewpoints of people in different roles and how to live mindfully.
Both volunteers agree that the concept of “WORK LIFE WELL-LIVED” is tangibly conveyed through these activities, which help develop potential, create experiences beyond regular work, and promote a balanced life for employees in both career and mind.
Thus, the “Vichitphongphan Scholarship” not only creates a positive impact on education, religion, and society but also serves as a driving force that shapes hearts, creates a spirit of giving, and fulfills the meaning of work in a way that “Pruksa” believes that “when people are well, the organization is even better.”
